OpenCoffee Brisbane

The OpenCoffee Club was started to encourage entrepreneurs, developers and investors to organise real-world informal meetups to chat, network and grow. Read the blog post that started the ball rolling.

This is the online complement to that offline network. Meet people, find out what’s going on nearby you and then go and take part. It’s another great event in Brisbane like The Hive that keeps entrepreneurs, freelancers, startups and investors connected.

The OpenCoffee Brisbane group holds fortnightly meetups (currently at Vue Lounge, New Farm). It’s free, it’s fun and there’s always interesting & relaxed conversations. Join the Facebook Group for OpenCoffee Brisbane to be kept in the loop of upcoming meetups.

OpenCoffee was founded by Saul Klein in London in March 2007. Its now in over 75+ locations across the world! Check www.opencoffeeclub.org for you’re capital city.

Who’s invited?
Anyone. This is not about meeting someone in particular, hopefully it’s about giving people focussed times and places where they can hang out and connect with others — not locked inside an office or at a private members club.

Why?

Well, one of the things we’ve heard repeatedly over the time is: investors are inaccessible, entrepreneurs need regular physical space to meet, not just each other but also also network. We all get an enormous amount from informal contact.

What can you do?
If you’re an investor, entrepreneur or simply thinking about working for a business startup, come by, talk about and promote our OpenCoffee Club Brisbane.

Hope to see you at OpenCoffee Brisbane soon!

Mike Boyd, Tyrone Castillo, Charles Nee.
