Back in March 2009, I presented at the Brisbane City Council’s Ideas Festival with Edgeware.
We ran a panel discussion on the topic of Creative Entrepreneurship – The Artists of Commerce.
“Edgeware founder Michael Doneman interviews freelance photographer Jane Ryder, Mike Boyd from Coolybar Keg Hire, freelance business writer Rebecca Leigh, Natalie Duncan from Qld Film Locations and Ron Crump from Human Productivity Consultants about the sustainable, meaningful and worthy businesses they have created.”
Below is a video mashup from Michael Doneman’s introduction, followed by part of my discussion about Coolybar: (Videos courtesy of Sarah Moran at VodPod Productions)

It was a really cool discussion panel and I wish we had the footage of the whole thing! What’s above isn’t the best, the in depth questioning that we got from the audience and the ensuing discussions were excellent! I had a great time
Mike – love what you said at the beginning of your talk – that you didn’t know what you were doing, but that you had an idea, passion, drive and goals. That’s about as good of a formula I’ve seen for being successful. Excellent!
Thanks Steve appreciate mate. That’s certainly what I believe in!
When everyone else around you makes up excuses why you can’t/shouldn’t/won’t do something, you have to stop and say “Why not!?” With enough passion, drive and commitment I think you can achieve anything!
P.S. Love your new site! I subscribed today… everyone check out http://www.readitfor.me
Always linked together creativity with entrepreneurship. It’s interesting, had a couple of people (on Twitter anyway) just realising about that, even if their project relates to creativity (ie writing)
Do you do guest blogging in your site?
Hey Hannah,
I don’t really dabble in guest blogging, but if you’ve got something in particular you want to talk to me about then I’m happy to hear it.
